2026 BGuiled Debate Finals
The 2026 bGuiled Debate Finals (the “Debate“) is a parliamentary style with two teams of two debating the resolution: “The Law Does Not Compel The Impossible (Lex Non Olet Ad Impossibilia)”.
The Debate occurs on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. in the Jack & Darlene Poole Theatre at Arts Umbrella, 1400 Johnston St, Granville Island, Vancouver.
On October 9, 2025, 9 brave souls and one realtor tried out for the Debate. Two lawyers and two law students emerged victorious. At the upcoming Debate finals, the two-member winning team from the four finalists is determined by a majority vote of the esteemed judges. The decision need not be supported by precedent, logic, or reason, but some sort of judgment is ordinarily expected.
